How Can a Painful Bruise On The Breast Be Treated?

I am a 47 year old female and I had a bright blue and purple quarter size bruise appear suddenly on my left breast and then just disappear within a few hours. I didn t feel any pain, but I could see the veins in my left breast and also an air bubble from my implant. I was just curious if that was something to be concerned about?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Bruises are nothing but a collection of blood underneath the skin. Generally, it will settle by itself without definite treatment.

If the bruises persist, you can consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan to look for any collection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
